Aadhaar enabled Bio-Metric Attendance System is being introduced in Schools with an aim to ensure online monitoring of attendance of students and teachers. It is expected to help in better delivery of education services extended to targeted students. The Schools will be linked to the Central Server through Biometric devices. All students and teachers details will be enrolled on the devices.
Regular attendance of Students and Teachers will be captured through biometric authentication. This will help in monitoring potential drop out and remedial action, teacher absenteeism or delayed attendance, syllabus coverage, academic performance management, etc.
It is also proposed attendance of children taking Mid-day Meal be captured through this, which will give correct analysis of class attendance vs Mid-day Meal Attendance. This will help generate reports on food grains consumed, CCH payments, Cooking cost incurred.
